The Why Behind Our Initiative

​

Giving back is really important to our work and we strive to do as much as we can where possible. Book ownership has been directly linked with improved mental health amongst children. Household poverty reaches over 50% Muslim households and sadly, book poverty is a very real issue. One in four disadvantaged children across the UK has fewer than ten books of their own at home, and one in eight has none.

​

Our aim is to increase book accessibility within Muslim households. We believe in developing the emotional and spiritual health of young Muslim children by giving them child-friendly, impactful and engaging tools.

Who's eligible to apply?​

• Primary schools

• Weekend schools

• Scout groups

How will we decide which educational establishments receive the books?

​

• We’ll be donating books to three different educational establishments in total

• To apply we’ll ask you to tell us, in just a couple of sentences, why and how you think your educational establishment would benefit from receiving this donation

• Depending on how many applications we receive, we’ll use this information to determine which educational establishment should be prioritised and, if necessary, we will make a selection at random

• If successful, your books will be delivered in March '22
